Gospel of Luke PDF Print E-mail

Resurrection RobeLuke was the last Gospel that Michael committed to memory.  It was premiered at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Lakewood, Ohio on February 12, 1990.

Luke's Gospel as a performance plays out in a sublime manner.  The language has a polished literacy, simple but beautiful.  Luke contains the familiar stories of the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son, which ends the first Act.

One of the surprises of Luke is the inclusion of the story about meeting Jesus on the road to Emmaus.  It is a section not presented in any of the other Gospels and is a wonderful glimpse into the time after the Resurrection.  It is presented to confirm the Resurrection in a unique way.

The work begins with Michael addressing Theophilus (lover of God) as a story telling technique.  The work also ends with Michael returning to Luke the evangelist closing the text with a few more words to Theophilus.
