MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE, JOHN, THE BOOK OF REVELATION
Each of these performances is an opportunity to hear a text of scripture, proclaimed in the oral tradition of the early church, delivered word for word in a prayerful and powerful way.
Each of the five proclamations, with dramatic lighting, costuming, and sound, is designed for your sanctuary as a special two-hour evening performance.
There is an intermission, and children are encouraged to attend. Usually the greater community and neighboring churches are invited.
Mark is recommended as a first visit to your congregation, followed perhaps in future visits by Matthew, Luke, John, and Revelation.
Mark is especially appropriate for the 2008-2009 year, for liturgical churches that follow the B Cycle of Readings, which begin in Advent 2008 and continue through November 2009.
John is especially appropriate for the Easter season as an after-Easter experience.
The Christmas Narratives is an additional offering available in Advent or December as a special scriptural experience of the Christmas season.
Shorter events for special circumstances can be arranged as well.
When the date is set, we need the afternoon in the church or space to set up equipment.
We are available year-round. This is our full-time work.
Sometimes we drive to you as part of a tour, bringing our own lighting system and sound system.
Sometimes we fly, ship ahead some equipment, and rent a vehicle to get to you, depending on our tours, time of year, and distance.
Housing is needed for two or three nights, depending on the event. Accommodations can be with either a hotel/motel or with a host person or family.
Printed and internet user-friendly material will be prepared for you to help you promote the performance.
Available on request.
